TeeRoy's 2 Cents:

  • Meek's ready to feed the streets and it sounds like it's gonna be a feast.
  • Artists get into the game to make music -- not deal with the behind the scenes politics at their label.
  • Wonder how his old rival Drake will feel about dropping around the same time.

Meek Mill is preparing to drop some new music on the world.

Monday, he gave his Twitter followers some advance notice, tweeting, “I’m about to just start dropping [stuff] no promo or nothing. Rap getting weak, all the systems you gotta go thru to put out music… [stuff] will have you overthinking!”

Guapdad 4000 replied, sharing Meek’s sentiment about the ways the industry works these days. Meek added, “It kills the art and the motivation! My mixtape era is the [stuff] that made me Meek!”

The Philly rapper also tried to crowd-source some new beats from his followers, tweeting, “I need beat packs from all my dawgs, I’m in that zone! I got some things to say! Hit me ASAP!”
