Happy Birthday Usher!

Singer, songwriter, businessman, and dancer, Usher caught the attention of LaFace Records, and released his debut album Usher in 1994.

His second album My Way, spawned his first number-one single "Nice & Slow", and the top-two singles "You Make Me Wanna..." and "My Way". His third album, 8701, produced "U Remind Me" and "U Got It Bad", as well as "U Don't Have to Call", and sold eight million copies worldwide. He won his first two Grammy Awards as Best Male R&B Vocal Performance in 2002 and 2003.

Confessions, came in 2004, and established him as one of the best-selling artists of the 2000s, with four consecutive number-one singles—"Yeah!" (featuring Lil Jon and Ludacris), "Burn", "Confessions Part II", and "My Boo" (with Alicia Keys). Along with the top-ten "Caught Up", it sold over 20 million copies worldwide and was certified Diamond.

He released Here I Stand in 2008, and Raymond v. Raymond in 2010, both of which debuted atop of the Billboard 200 chart and produced the number-one singles "Love in This Club" (featuring Young Jeezy) and "OMG" (featuring will.i.am). His EP Versus produced the top-five single "DJ Got Us Fallin' in Love" (featuring Pitbull) and the top-fifteen single "More".

Looking 4 Myself would debut atop the Billboard 200 chart with the top-ten single "Scream", the ballads "There Goes My Baby" and "Climax".

Usher has sold 23.8 million albums and 38.2 million digital songs in the US, and 80 million records worldwide, making him one of the best-selling music artists of all time, with 9 number-one singles.

Usher recently welcomed his second child with girlfriend, Jenn Goicoechea.

“Hi my name is Sire Castrello Raymond,” Usher wrote along with the first public photo of his baby boy. “I am the newest addition to the Raymond crew. I was born Sept 29 2021 at 6:42pm weighing 7lbs 13oz. Hear me roar … A.K.A Ra Ra [Libra Emoji] Gang #demraymondboys.”

With over 400,000 Instagram likes, Snoop Dogg, Lil Jon and Jermaine Dupri were among those who offered congratulations.

“My nefew,” Snoop commented, while Lil Jon wrote, “CONGRATS” with all-caps enthusiasm.

Sire Castrello Raymond is Usher’s fourth child, as he also has two sons with his ex-wife Tameka Foster: Usher Raymond V a.k.a. Cinco and Naviyd Ely Raymond.
