Young Thug is set to receive most of his possessions back after a judge ruled that the state of Georgia must return them.

During a hearing held on Wednesday, January 7, Fulton County Superior Court Judge Paige Reese Whitaker ruled the state is required to give Thugger several items police officers confiscated during their investigation into YSL. According to 11Alive, some of these items include more than $149,000 in cash, three Mercedes-Benz vehicles, a 2022 Chevrolet Corvette, a 2022 Porsche 911, a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee, a 2018 Lamborghini vehicle, a Can-AM Spyder, and jewelry.

"The Court finds that the plain language of the statute requires that Claimants' property be returned promptly, free of liens and encumbrances," Judge Whitaker wrote in her ruling. "The State has not identified any authority that would allow it to retain custody of the property where the forfeiture complaint has been dismissed, and now the State's appeal of that dismissal has been dismissed."

Judge Whitaker set a deadline of January 9 at 5 p.m. to return the aforementioned items. Thugger's attorney Brian Steele confirmed to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that the state met the deadline and returned his possessions. Authorities also removed six firearms from Young Thug's home, including a Glock 19X firearm, a Glock 45 9mm-caliber firearm, a Glock .357-caliber firearm, a Glock 30s .45-caliber firearm, an FN Five Seven firearm, and a Smith & Wesson M&P .40-Caliber firearm.

The recent ruling stems from Steele's previous challenge, in which he argued that the state failed to meet Georgia's 60-day deadline to hold a civil forfeiture hearing. Even though Whitaker originally ruled in favor of Young Thug last year, prosecutors appealed the decision. In her new ruling, Whitaker deemed the return of Thug's property valid now that the YSL RICO case is closed.
