A suspect has been arrested several months after Project Pat's son was murdered.

On Wednesday, July 16, the U.S. Marshals Service announced that they had arrested Talia Jones in Minneapolis, Minn., and charged her with Facilitation of First-Degree Murder. Jones was confronted by the authorities on July 15 after investigators with the USMS Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force received word that the 19-year-old had fled to Minnesota following the murder of Pat's son, Patrick Houston, Jr. USMS attempted to apprehend Jones, but "she did not go into custody quietly."

"[Jones] fought Task Force members and actively resisted arrest; however, she was subdued without injury to anyone involved," USMS' statement said.

The USMS didn't disclose any other details about Houston Jr's murder. He was fatally shot on January 10 near the intersection of Ketchum Road and Long Street in Memphis. An investigation by the Memphis Police Department connected Jones to Houston Jr's death, and a warrant was issued for Jones' arrest on June 27. She is currently awaiting extradition to Tennessee.

Jones has had a couple of run-ins with police before the murder took place. According to court records pulled by WREG, Jones was arrested in Memphis last October for theft of property for allegedly shoplifting. She was also charged with aggravated assault during a domestic disturbance a week later, following a violent incident involving her girlfriend. The couple reportedly got into a fight at Jones' apartment. Jones claimed her girlfriend picked up a hammer during the fight, and she found a knife to defend herself. Both women were arrested, but the charge against Jones was dismissed due to lack of prosecution.

As of this report, Project Pat has yet to publicly comment on his son's passing.
