A Man Named Tupac Shakur Was Arrested In Tennessee & Twitter Cannot Deal

Over the weekend, Tupac Amaru Shakur was discovered and arrested, but he's not the hip-hop icon that we all remember.

Reports are swirling around officers from the Johnson City Police Department, who arrested a white man by the name of Tupac Amaru Shakur of Elizabethton, Tennessee on Saturday (October 19) on a number of charges including aggravated assault, resisting arrest, simple possession of meth and unlawful drug paraphernalia. As per the Johnson City Press, Shakur, 40, who had multiple warrants out for his arrest, pulled a knife out of his waistband, while police were trying to detain him. He was wrestled to the ground and eventually subdued during the process. Shakur was later transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where was held on a $18,000 bond.

While he has no relation to the rapper, who was murdered in 1996, the man has an identical name to that of the late, great titan, and Twitter cannot deal with the comparison. Scroll on below to see some of the reactions to this WTF-worthy story.
