Cardi B's Full Interview With Bernie Sanders Is Finally Here

Cardi B and Bernie Sanders talking politics is the best video you'll watch today!

On Thursday (August 15), the "Press" rapper's full interview with the 77-year-old Vermont Senator was released, and let's just say, it's the most important political sit-down to come out of the 2020 presidential race thus far!

Cardi came out the gate swinging, saying the only way we can get America's "bully" of a President out of the office is by electing a new one in 2020.

"We've got to get rid of Donald Trump, obviously" Bernie agreed. "Because Donald Trump is an overt racist." Cardi doubled down on the presidential hopeful's comments, adding, "Right now people are just not scared to show it. And we constantly see on social media police brutality against Black men and against minorities. What are we going to do to change that because that is discouraging our people, it's discouraging us to fight and it makes us feel like we're worthless."

She continued, "We constantly see our men getting killed, every day. And it seems like nobody cares. Nobody's sympathizing, nobody's talking about it."

"Obviously we need to end all forms of racism in this country," Bernie replied. "From Donald Trump down to the local police department. We have something like one out of four young black men in this country end up in the criminal justice system… That is disgusting and beyond belief. So the first thing we do is we make sure that young people in this country, Black, Latino, Native American, whoever they may be, get the kind of education and job training they need so they can go out and get good jobs. We have to invest in jobs and education."

The two went on to discuss student debt, wages, taxes, jobs, and more! Watch their full interview above.

Following Cardi's sit-down with Bernie, she chatted about the experience on Real 92.3's Big Boy's Neighborhood.

"It was really like... wow, I love you even more," she admitted. "This man is so smart and everything that he said makes sense. I asked him certain questions that I was like, 'you're saying that you're going to make certain things happen but is it going to be possible? Can you actually make it happen?' And the way that he explained he would make it happen, it sounded really good."
