A Tribute to Miss PeeDee Teen Asiya Jordan Who Died In Accident Thursday

The Pee Dee community is hurting and sending up prayers this morning for 16 year old Asiya Jordan and her friends and family after she tragically passed away in a car accident on McIver Road Thursday. She was a beautiful young lady who represented us well as Miss Pee Dee Teen 2019, and as a junior** at Wilson High School she had a bright future ahead of her.

SCnow.com reports:

The crash happened at 12:15 p.m. when a 2004 Nissan Altima ran off the right side of the road, the driver lost control of the car, it spun back across the road and was hit broadside by a 2013 Dodge that was traveling the opposite direction, said Cpl. Sonny Collins of the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
The student [Jordan,] who was driving the Altima, died in the crash while the minivan driver was taken to a hospital.
The school will have additional counselors on hand Friday.
All drivers were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash, Collins said.

Miss Pee Dee committee member Julie Jebaily says, "It hurts to think of a world without her." She won the crown because "she was talented, intelligent, caring, and giving."

Asiya Jordan arrangements are being taken care of by Ideal Funeral Parlor (dates of services are to be announced) Many friends have already posted tributes to her.

Reagan Collins posted:

Asiya made my day every time i was sad. I knew her since my 8th grade year. Fly High Baby. You are beautiful with wings.

Jaques Muldrow posted:

I knew Asiya since the 7th grade we were sooo close and we always would laugh and have fun in class everyday and I’ve known her for the next 4 years. Sucks to not be able to hear her laugh anymore. I love you forever and always Asiya.

Monica Davis posted:

I was her assistant cheer coach in middle school. She was always smiling and always willing to help others. I love you baby girl. God got you now. Rest in his arms.

Rest in Peace Asiya Jordan
