Betty White, 98, 'Doing Very Well' Despite The Coronavirus Pandemic

Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, fans of Betty White have been wondering about her well-being. The 98-year-old actress hasn't been seen publicly in some time and, due to her age, she falls into the high risk category for coronavirus. Fans of the iconic actress need not worry too much, though, because a rep for White has confirmed to Today that she's doing just fine.

In an email to Today, White's rep wrote that the Golden Girls star is taking social distancing guidelines seriously. "No one permitted in except those who must. Has helpers who are great with her," White's rep said of her current home life.

Despite these strange and difficult times, White's publicist said they "always have laughs" together when he calls in to check on her. They touch base several times a week.

While White is self-isolating at the moment, she still has a few new friends with her at home. According to her rep, White has a "beautiful backyard with a number of wild animals visiting. Two ducks always come by to say hello. They waddle up to her glass door and look in."

A friend of White, an entertainer named Tom Sullivan, also spoke with Closer Magazine about the actress. He revealed that she's been keeping busy by reading the Los Angeles Times "cover to cover" during quarantine. “She owns literally thousands of crossword puzzle books and is constantly doing them to keep her mind jumping. This is really serious with her," he shared.
