When you first see this skier participating in the Nordic World Ski Championships in Norway, you might wonder what in the world he's doing there. He doesn't appear to be very good at skiing at all.
It turns out that Adrian Solano wanted to be a cross-country skier, but he is from Venezuela where there is no snow. He was only able to train and practice on wheels, and the first time he ever got on actual snow was when he got to Norway.
He finished dead last in the competition, but he says he still hopes to make the Olympics one day.
It looks to me like he doesn't have much of a chance unless he moves to a snowy climate, but I admire the heck out of his determination and spirit.
